Small Business Support
I’m Jacqui, a teacher of Japanese language, wellbeing tutor, and access support freelancer.
I work with artists, creative professionals and small business owners who want to express their ideas more clearly, build confidence in their work, and find sustainable ways to move forward — whether through funding applications, creative writing, or reflective wellbeing sessions.
My approach is grounded in empathy, structure and creativity. I combine practical guidance with reflective tools such as journalling, story work, and gentle self-inquiry to help people connect with their authentic voice and purpose.
My own journey has taught me that creativity and clarity emerge in spaces of calm, compassion and curiosity, when we’re supported to tell the truth about what matters most. I bring that understanding into all areas of my work, creating safe, structured environments where ideas and individuals can grow with confidence.
ACCESS SUPPORT
I offer access support for filling in grants and bursaries, such as for the Arts Council, to anyone who feels that they need it. It could be because you identify as neuro-different, dyslexic, have anxieties about form filling, are struggling with the process and the effect it is having on your mental health.
Contact me for a 20-minute chat to discuss your needs if you think you might qualify for Access Support. I usually respond within 24 hours.
Through my Japanese Language Tutoring Business, I help young people aged 13-30 to pass GCSE and Japanese Language Proficiency Test and deepen their understanding of the Japanese language and culture.
I’m a participant in the Sir Peter Parker Awards for Spoken Business Japanese, where in 2022 I was delighted to receive the Special Prize, an experience that deepened my appreciation for cross-cultural communication.
Working 1:1 with diverse learners, I encourage them to discover how they learn best and make the language their own.
Helping Small Business Owners
As a small business owner myself, I understand how challenging it can be to move forward when mental blocks or fatigue set in. I love supporting other business owners in exploring their ideas and discovering how best to express them, both in writing and in conversation.
I’m particularly passionate about helping people uncover their creative business visions through journalling and creative writing, using archetypes as a tool to connect with the authentic essence of their work. This process often brings clarity, confidence and renewed inspiration, helping you reconnect with why you do what you do.
